Arugula: Infinity War - Show Notes

Suit up, Lettuce heads! This week's new episode of The Lettuce Podcast returns to the ever-growing MCU. Laura and Charlotte welcome guest/Best-Friend-of-TLP to the show to talk about the year's biggest movie (so far): Avengers: Infinity War! They have a spirited conversation about this epic film, the war on Earth and in Space, what comes next, and more. Laura shares her appreciation of seeing a new side of Bruce Banner. Charlotte explains why she found Iron-Man and Dr. Strange to be a good pair. Cory talks about Star Lord's equally frustrating and understandable actions. All three discuss their favorite combat scenes, saddest moments, and predictions for the resolution of the Infinity War. Was the ending of Avengers:Infinity War appropriate or just sad? Should Thor, Rocket and Groot always be a team? And which Infinity War actor do Charlotte and Cory argue about? You'll have to listen to this week's episode to find out the answers to these important questions!

The Fun & Games segment fully delivers on the promise of fun! Laura challenges Charlotte and Cory to a round of Marvel Madlibs with a little help from Google. They also use a Name Generator to find out what their superhero alter-egos would be, including abilities and motives!

Fitting the theme of immediate disappearance, this week's podtail was The Mind Eraser!

Gilmore Grass S3 - Show Notes

The Lettuce Podcast is back from vacation and ready for action! Charlotte and Laura cover one of their favorite topics: Gilmore Girls. This visit to Stars Hollow is all about Season 3, Rory's boy troubles, Lorelai's professional improvements, Lane's rock band, and much more. Charlotte shares why she is Team Jess, which Season 3 episode is her favorite, and why she appreciate Lorelai's search for love. Laura explains her feelings about Rory and Dean's break-up, Lane's and Paris' first boyfriends, and what gave Luke more dimension as a character. Together they discuss Lorelai's problems with Christopher, wish for more important plot-lines for Sookie, and throw shade at Richard's surprise Yale interview. Did Lorelai's relationship with Alex serve a purpose or was it just a boring detail? Are Rory and Jess really a perfect match? And how crazy is Jackson for wanting four-in-four?! All this and more on this week's visit to Stars Hollow on The Lettuce Podcast!

Charlotte and Laura channeled the Gilmore Girls to play a game of Create-A-Snack where they chose junk food combinations to eat. They also played a classic TLP/GG game, 1-2-3-He's Yours!

Inspired by the “Eight O'Clock At The Oasis” episode featuring a young Jon Hamm, Charlotte and Laura shared a glass of wine as this week's podtail.

Avengers: Age of Lettuce - Show Notes

Put on your cape and mask - it's a superhero extravaganza on this week's episode of The Lettuce Podcast! Laura hosts this show about the movie Avengers: Age of Ultron with Tori and Charlotte at her side. They each share their experience with the Marvel Universe movies and comics books (Spoiler Alert - None of them are comic book experts!). They also discuss their opinions about the movie, its relation to other Marvel movies, and the impact the franchise has had on the movie industry. Tori gives a report on Age of Ultron's relationship to the comic book source material in a new segment entitled "Source Ma-Tori-al". Charlotte explains why Hawkeye is one of her favorite characters and Iron Man is not. Laura wonders why the sun "gettin' real low" matters to the Hulk. What are the necessary Marvel movies to watch in order to completely understand the plot of Age of Ultron? Was the addition of a romance between two of the Avengers a benefit to the story? Is Thor funny? After addressing all of these questions and more, the girls each give a grade out of 5 Chards in a new Ratings segment!

An extra special Fun & Games segment has Laura, Charlotte, and Tori using the Ultimate Game Name Generator to each determine their superhero names. They then develop back stories, special abilities, sidekicks, and whatever else they can think of for their superhero characters! Finally, a customary round of Kill, Marry, Pity Date is played.

Inspired by the end-credits scene in the first Avengers movie, Charlotte provided a classic Mediterranean snack: hummus (pesto and curry coconut flavors) with pita chips and pretzels for their podsnack. A delightful Roscato wine, which Tori bought, was enjoyed as the Podtail.
