A Clash of Kale - Show Notes

Feeling like there's a hole in your Sunday night because Game of Thrones is in hiatus? The Lettuce Podcast can help! On this week's episode, Charlotte guides Laura through the second installments of the epic book series A Song of Ice and Fire and its companion HBO series. In A Clash of Kings, the hosts chat about the many houses of Westeros, those who have crowned themselves kings, pivotal plot points, and more. They also compare scenes from the book to their depiction in the series and discuss the changes and liberties taken in Season 2 of Game of Thrones. Charlotte talks about what makes Daenarys a magical character and how she's able to rally her people. She then explains her views on Sam's character arc and the path of his story with the Night's Watch. Laura shares why she understands Theon's struggle, but still thinks he's horrible. She also talks about why House Stark is divided physically and figuratively. Together the hosts try to figure out which Lannisters are actually evil and which are simply trying to protect the family name. Is Jaime good or bad? Is Joffrey the male version of Cercei? And is Baelon Greyjoy the worst dad in history? All these question and more are answered on this week's episode of The Lettuce Podcast!

In the Fun & Games segment, the girls take a quiz to find our which Game of Thrones character they would be and get very exciting results! Charlotte then puts Laura to the test and asks her to make predictions about the series going forward.

This week's Podtail was a homemade drink Laura made in honor of a new favorite character. Brienne the Blue is a strong but sweet drink comprised of honey whiskey, blue curacao, blackberry flavored sprakling water, and blueberries.
