Boondock Lettuce - Show Notes

Happy St. Patrick's Day, Lettuce Heads! Laura and Charlotte are celebrating the holiday and the 1 year anniversary of The Lettuce Podcast with the ultimate cult classic: Boondock Saints! Join for a festive conversation and an Irish-themed drinking game. Laura gushes about her favorite character, Agent Paul Smecker, and his eccentricities. Charlotte talks about "The Funny Man" and the way this comedic character lightens the scene. They also discuss the reality of the plot, the mystery of Il Duce, and how the movie challenges one's idea of right and wrong. Why is Boondock Saints such a beloved cult classic? The Fun & Games segment has Laura and Charlotte exercising those creative muscles by writing limericks about Boondock Saints. They also use the  Irish Name Generator to find out their true Gaelic personas. In the Shout-Outs segment, Laura reads favorite Boondock Saints quotes sent in by listeners. This episode's Podtail was Guinness! The quintessential Irish stout for the quintesential Irish cult classic. Laura and Charlotte also played a simple drinking game throughout the episode: each had to take drink anytime the words "Irish" or "St. Patrick's Day" were said. It made for some silliness towards the end of the show!
