Field Mix: Charlotte's Music Madness - Show Notes,

This week on The Lettuce Podcast, Charlotte gives a peak into her iPod by sharing some of her favorite music! She and Laura welcome a guest, Stephanie, into the mix. Charlotte's eclectic mix has the girls listening to Ben Folds, Taylor Swift, Modest Mouse, and more. She also introduces Tally Hall, an early 2000's band from University of Michigan, to the group. The girls chat about their impressions of each album, their favorite/unfavorite songs, and rate each album out of 5 Chards. Charlotte talks about the unique qualities of all six artists and what made them appeal to her. Laura shares some unpopular opinions about Taylor Swift, but it still unable to deny the hook in "Style". Stephanie talks about her love of Modest Mouse and the genius lyrical talent of Isaac Brock. The three girls discuss differing opinions on Jason Mraz's sexy song "Butterfly" and agree that Sufjan Stevens is an artist unlike any other. Is Taylor Swift a good role model for young women? What is the best way to describe Jason Mraz's music? And what is up with that cooing baby interlude on Good News for People Who Love Bad News? All this and more on this week's episode of The Lettuce Podcast featuring Special Guest Steph!

Inspired by Tally Hall's song "Haiku", the girls each pen a haiku about the music they listened to during the Fun & Games segment. Laura then puts Charlotte and Steph to the test in a fast-paced guessing game app called Sevens (created for the podcast Never Not Funny). They compete in the Music category to a varied level of success.

This week's podtail was selected by Laura especially for Charlotte: a sour beer (one of Charlotte's favorite drinks!) called Funky Jewbelation to celebrate both music and Charlotte's Jewish heritage!
