Rocky Horror Parsley Show - Show Notes

Happy Halloween, Lettuceheads! This week on The Lettuce Podcast, Laura and Charlotte are celebrating the season with a Halloween Spooktacular! They continue a TLP tradition by inviting their pal Cory on the show to discuss Rocky Horror Picture Show. They chat about the film's cast of kooky characters, bangin' soundtrack, and Cory's experience as a first-time viewer. Laura explains what absent plot points would have made the story better, and what production elements make the film charming. Charlotte sings a few bars of her favorite song "Touch-A Touch-A Touch-A Touch Me" and shares her hopes for the future of Brad and Janet's relationship. Cory points out which cast members have the nicest legs, and shares his thoughts on Tim Curry's iconic performance as Dr. Frank-N-Furter. Also up for discussion: what makes the film a cult classic, which songs are the best, and more. Are Eddie and Columbia the precursor to Brad and Janet? Is Dr. Frank-N-Furter scary? And, the most important question of all: Is Rocky Horror Picture Show truly a Halloween film? You'll have to listen to find out!

For this edition of Fun & Games, Laura, Charlotte, and Cory first get some help from Buzzfeed to find out who their Rocky Horror Picture Show soulmates are. Then they combine RHPS  with another favorite Halloween topic, Harry Potter! They take turns picking various characters from RHPS and sorting them into their appropriate Hogwarts Houses in a fun round of Sorting Hat. Is Janet a Slytherin? What about Riff Raff? Comment and tell us your thoughts!

Looking for a cocktail to enjoy during a screening of Rocky Horror Picture Show? Laura suggests the Absolute Pleasure from The Drunken Moogle. Learn how to make one here.
